A measurement system (1) including: a radial hole (17) made externally on a cover (5) of a railway axle-box (3) on the side of an edge (14) of the cover facing towards a rolling bearing (2) of the axle-box; a smaller axial hole (18) made on the edge (14) of the cover so as to be in use facing towards a ring (8) of the bearing and opening in the radial hole (17); a cup-shaped body (21) accommodated in the radial hole; a fork shaped spring (23) integrally carried by a bottom wall (24) of the cup-shaped body, so as to project in front of the axial hole (18); a temperature probe (28) slidingly accommodated within the axial hole (18) and including a tubular element (29) incorporating an electrical temperature sensor (30) and an electric cable (31) protruding from a first end (32) of the tubular element accommodated within the cup-shaped body (21); and an abutting element (33) removably coupled to the first end (32) to cooperate with the fork shaped spring (23), which pushes a second end (45) of the probe (28) out of the axial hole (18).
