The system (10) has a set of individual air extraction networks (16a-16h), where each network is associated to individual housings (14a-14h) and provided with individual exhaust fan for extracting air from the housing and bringing the extracted air into a heat exchange unit that exchanges heat with water contained in a storage reservoir of a water heater (26a) arranged in the housing. An air extraction network (34) is common to the housings, in which the extraction networks open in downstream of the heater. The air extraction network is provided with a common air exhaust fan (40). An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a domestic hot water producing system.
