The invention relates to a method for integrating network participants into a time-synchronized ad hoc network (100). According to the method, individual assemblies (30, 40, 50, 70, 80) are formed from respective regionally adjacent network participants (1, 2,..., 19, 20), and the network participants (1, 2,..., 19, 20) are time-synchronized within each assembly (30, 40, 50, 70, 80). A network participant (7) on the periphery of each assembly (70) is then selected in order to identify at least one network participant (21; 21, 22, 23) to be integrated into the respective assembly (70). Finally, the network participants (5, 7; 7) of the respective assembly (70; 70´; 70´´) are time-synchronized with each identified network participant (21; 21, 22, 23).
