The present invention relates to the technical field of computer applications, in particular, to a virtual table indexing mechanism and method capable of realizing multi-attribute compound condition query. The present invention comprises three critical components of an index manager, a condition analyzer and a pre-execution engine. The present invention constructs index key values for a plurality of attributes on a virtual table. When querying, query conditions applied to the virtual table are calculated. Whether it is required to execute a physical entity table mapped by a the virtual table independently judged for each attribute in advance according to a key value index, thus ensuring that the query is only applied to a sub-virtual table satisfying corresponding key value conditions for execution. The present invention effectively solves the multi-attribute compound condition query of a virtual table, and can be used in virtual table indexing.
