A method, a device and a system are described for determining a fitting index of a garment based on anthropometric data of a user, said method comprising the steps of: - reading said anthropometric data relating to measurable parts of the body of said user from storage means (4,6) through at least one device (2,10,12,14,16) associated with said storage means (4,6); - reading measurement data of the garment from said storage means (4,6) through said at least one device (2,10,12,14,16) associated with said storage means (4,6); said method being characterized by: - determining, through said at least one device (2,10,12,14,16), a fitting index of said garment based on said anthropometric data of said user, on said measurement data of said garment, and on at least one piece of style information relating to said garment.
