METHOD FOR CHARACTERISING THE SEAT OF A RAILWAY TRACK, DEVICE FOR VIEWING THE INSIDE OF A SOIL AND ASSEMBLY FOR CHARACTERISING THE SEAT OF A RAILWAY TRACK COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE

This method allows the characterization of the seat of a railway by penetrometer tests and geo-endoscopy. It includes steps of knock (100) a ram head of a light dynamic penetrometer to drive the tip of a drill string in the seat, measuring (102) the resistance of the seat as a function of depth drill string depressing, remove (105) the drill string to the seat, press (106) a tube into a hole left by the drill string, and to slide (108) a recording of camera images inside the tube.
