GAS-LIFT DIGESTER FOR THE ANAEROBIC DIGESTION OF WASTE COMING FROM THE FOOD CHAIN

A description is given of a new digester which uses the gas lift technology in order to allow an efficient mixing, reduction of the ammonia and the elimination of the formation of possible surface crusts during anaerobic digestion.;The digester is suitable for use in a process for the recovery of nutrients and for the preparation of fertilisers from organic substrates from waste, coming from the cycle of production and consumption of foodstuffs.
