The invention relates to an antenna system with at least four horns, which are completely filled with a dielectric. According to the dielectric properties of the filling, the effective wavelength in the horns increases and these are able to support much larger bandwidths than would be the case without filling. Although dielectric fillings lead to parasitic losses through the dielectric, but especially for very small horns for applications in the Ka band, these losses remain relatively small. The dielectric constant of the dielectric is chosen so that the dielectrically filled horns can be optimally operated in the lowest frequency band of the antenna system.
