A root bushing (9) for a blade root (8) of a wind turbine rotor blade (5), wherein the root bushing (9) comprises a bushing body (14) and a connecting body (15) for connecting the wind turbine rotor blade (5) to a hub (6) of a wind turbine (1) and wherein the connecting body (15) is releasably connected to the bushing body (14).;This has the advantage that when the connecting body is damaged or worn out it can be replaced without replacing the whole root bushing.
