PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an athletic shoe which is light-weight and supports the wearer extremely successfully.SOLUTION: In an upper 91 for an athletic shoe 101 including a plain weft-knitted knitwear 92, the plain weft-knitted knitwear 92 forms a top part 93 and a bottom part 94 of the upper 91, the top part 93 is shaped in a cylindrical weft-knitted knitwear suitable for surrounding a part of the shin of the wearer of the athletic shoe 101, the bottom part 94 is suitable for covering at least a part of the foot of the wearer of the athletic shoe 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
