PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infectious disease prophylactic agent which can effectively prevent Trichodina disease and ichtyobodosis in salmon fry to be released into a river with an easy method such as oral administration and without having harmful effects on the growth and the various physiological functions of the salmon fry and to provide a method for preventing infectious disease in salmon fry to be released into a river using the infectious disease prophylactic agent.SOLUTION: An infectious disease prophylactic agent for preventing ichtyobodosis in salmon fry to be released into a river contains one or more components selected from the group of oregano oil, carvacrol, para-cymene, linseed oil, cottonseed oil, and linolenic acid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
