PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire grid polarization plate showing high polarization property in an infrared region while having high transmittance in a visible light region, and to provide an image sensor for an infrared ray and a camera for an infrared ray.;SOLUTION: A wire grid polarization plate 100 for an infrared ray includes a metal wire 102 arranged periodically on a substrate 101 and a transparent coating layer 103 coating the metal wire 102. A period of the metal wire 102 is 160 nm or more and 300 nm or less, the total light transmittance at 400 nm or more and 650 nm or less is 50% or more, and degree of polarization of transmission light in an infrared region is 80% or more.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
