PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide knitted fabric capable of effectively preventing the cloth of water sportswear from becoming heavy due to getting wet with water, and becoming hard to move due to the elongation with wet own weight, and thereby causing degradation of wearing feeling, and further, provide the knitted fabric that is hard to become transparent when getting wet and has high UV cut properties.SOLUTION: Low elastic knitted fabric for water sportswear is characterized by being india knitted fabric comprising spun yarn containing polyester short fibers of 50 wt.% or more, where a cover factor (d/L) is 6.5×10to 7.5×10and a longitudinal extension percentage is 5 to 15%. In the knitted fabric of the present invention, it is preferable that a boiling water shrinkage rate of the polyester short fiber is 4 to 20%, and preferably, a gauge factor is 5.0 to 6.5 and a yarn length index is 14.0 to 16.0.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
