PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a node position estimation method that can estimate the positions of nodes more rapidly even when there is a significant error in inter-node distance information on a plurality of nodes.;SOLUTION: There is provided the node position estimation method which includes: a first step of acquiring the distance between nodes; a second step of setting a plurality of sample solutions; a third step of calculating the distance between the nodes of each sample solution and calculating an evaluation value indicating the magnitude of difference between the calculated inter-node distance and the inter-node distance acquired in the first step; a fourth step of selecting a plurality of excellent sample solutions which have a small evaluation value from the sample solutions; a fifth step of updating a parameter showing a probability distribution of the positions of the nodes based on the excellent sample solutions; and a sixth step of generating the plurality of sample solutions based on the parameter, the third to sixth steps being performed repeatedly.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
