PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to calculate an altitude change of a road surface without using a GPS device and with the influence of vehicle acceleration reduced.SOLUTION: A vehicle is provided with a pitch-angle detection unit 5 that detects a pitch angle θ of the vehicle; and an acceleration detection unit 7 that detects an acceleration α of the vehicle. An altitude change calculation apparatus 10 comprises a pitch-angle correction unit 9 that corrects the pitch angle θ detected by the pitch-angle detection unit 5 on the basis of the acceleration α detected by the acceleration detection unit 7. The pitch-angle correction unit 9 outputs a corrected pitch angle θc as data that represents an altitude change of a road surface where the vehicle is traveling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
