PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a proper movement route for a cutter of a cutting head of a cutting device comprising the cutting head capable of moving in a first direction and a media moving device moving media in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.SOLUTION: A movement route determination device 20 for a cutter comprises: an input part 21 to which data including position information on a plurality of points to be cut with the cutter is input; a correction part 23 which corrects a movement distance between two points such that when the movement distance is computed, a distance in the second direction is considered to be longer than a distance in the first direction although they are the same distance; and an arithmetic part 22 which applies genetic algorithm to compute a movement route which passes all of the plurality of points and has the shortest total movement distance while the movement distance is corrected by the correction part 23 once the data is input to the input part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
