PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress work time and an amount of weld materials to be used which are required for obtaining a proper weld penetration and a good bead appearance in fillet-welding.SOLUTION: A tandem arc welding system 1 performs fillet-welding for a joint at which a flat plate and an erected plate are abutted by use of a preceding electrode 13 and a following electrode 14 which is located at a position separated from the preceding electrode 13 in a direction opposite to a direction of weld advancement. A predetermined gap distance is provided between the preceding electrode 13 and the following electrode 14. Further, the following electrode 14 is so disposed as to be shifted on the flat plate in a direction perpendicular to the direction of weld advancement so that a distance between the following electrode and the erected plate is longer than that between the preceding electrode 13 and the erected plate. In addition, a torch angle formed by the preceding electrode 13 and the flat plate is so held as to be smaller than a torch angle formed by the following electrode 14 and the flat plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
