PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, as a manufacturing method of an inner ring which constitutes a self-aligning roller bearing, in which a process for confirming the displacement of a shape of a circular arc face forming a raceway face from a design value is easily performed in a processing site compared with a method which is described in a patent literature 1 or 2.;SOLUTION: A dimension difference d is measured along a radial direction of an inner ring 61 between two points A, B existing on one circular arc E face which forms a raceway face 61a of the inner ring 61, and differing in distances H1, H2 from an axial end face 61c of the inner ring 61. By comparing the dimension difference d which is measured in a measurement process and a design value d0 which is calculated on the basis of a formula (1), the displacement of a shape of a circular arc face from the design value is confirmed. In the formula (1), R0 is the design value of a curvature radius of the circular arc E face, and h0 is the design value of the distance h from the axial end face 61c of a curvature radius center C of the circular arc E face. d0=√(R02-(H1+h0)2)-√(R02-(H2+h0)2)...(1).;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
