PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable authentication high in security although an operation upon authentication is easy.SOLUTION: An authentication device forming a pair with other authentication device comprises: storage means that stores own authentication information allocated to the authentication device and other authentication information allocated to the other authentication device in a rewrite prohibition area; first communication means that receives own authentication information and other authentication information, which are stored by the other authentication device, from the other authentication device; determination means that, when own authentication information stored by the storage means and other authentication information received from the other authentication device agree with each other, and other authentication information stored by the storage means and own authentication information received from the other authentication device agree with each other, determines the other authentication device as an authentication device forming a pair with the authentication device; and validation means that, when the other authentication device is determined as an authentication device forming the pair, validates an authentication function of the authentication device.
