PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring adapter of a U-shaft tool with a draw bar capable of exactly measuring a tool diameter and a tool length, and to provide a positioning method of the U-shaft tool with the draw bar.SOLUTION: A measuring adapter 31 for providing a U-shaft tool 10 with a draw bar on a base 30 of a tool presetter is formed into a cylinder shape having a support part 31b which supports a base end surface 11a of a shaft body 11 of the tool 10, a storage part 31c which stores a tool holder 15 of the tool 10 and a tool side draw bar 12 and restrains an outer circumferential surface 15c of the tool holder 15 and a bottom surface part 31d as a bottom surface of the storage part 31c and is provided with a positioning block 32 which maintains a length L' from the base end surface 11a to the tip of the tool side draw bar 12 into an initial regulation length L required when fitting to a spindle by bringing the tip of the tool side draw bar 12 into contact with an upper surface of the bottom surface part 31d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
