Described herein is a structural efficacy index for a target area of the brain that reveals the effectiveness of a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) pulse based on at least one neurological feature of the brain ( SEI). The SEI can include an anisotropy index (AI). AI can reveal the effectiveness of TMS pulses based at least on the local anisotropy of the target area. The SEI can include a connectivity index (CI). CI can reveal the effectiveness of TMS pulses in different brain locations than the target area being stimulated. Furthermore, CI can be based at least in part on white matter tract coupling. Use the SEI of that area of the brain to plan the minimum effective stimulus amount of that place based on the actual neurological structure of that place, eg, anisotropy or white matter tract in at least one area of the brain be able to.
