PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the terahertz electric-field waveform of one shot terahertz wave by a single detector (a single photodiode) in waveform measurement of a terahertz wave by a pump probe method using a terahertz wave and a probe pulse wave having a chirp.SOLUTION: A single detector can detect a one shot terahertz pulse wave by a structure of detecting a terahertz electric-field waveform by writing spectral information on the terahertz electric field waveform of a terahertz wave and phase information in a chirp pulse wave and a structure of down-converting a frequency up to a frequency detectable as an analog signal by extending the waveform of the chirp pulse wave having the written information on the terahertz electric-field in the time direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
