PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten display delay time in live view display.;SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: image data generation means for generating image data by line units of a display part on the basis of output of an imaging sensor where start and end of charge accumulation are controlled by line units; display control means for allowing the display part to sequentially display the generated image data by the line units; and control means for controlling the charge accumulation of an imaging object line to be ended after the lapse of first time since controlling the charge accumulation to be started, and for controlling display of the image data of the display object line corresponding to the imaging object line to be started after the lapse of second time since controlling the charge accumulation of the imaging object line to be ended. The second time is time required since the charge accumulation of the imaging object line is ended until the display of the image data is started in the display object line.
