PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite short fiber for absorption articles which is suitable for acquisition of a thermally adhered nonwoven fabric for absorption articles having good cardability, smooth touch and high concealing performance, a production method of the fiber and a thermally adhered nonwoven fabric for absorption articles containing the fiber and an absorption article.SOLUTION: A composite short fiber 10 for absorption articles includes a core component 2 and a sheath component 1. The core component 2 contains 50 mass% or more of a polypropylene having a ratio Mw/Mn of the mass average molecular weight Mw to the number average molecular weight Mn after spinning of 3.0-8.0, and the sheath component 1 contains 60 mass% or more of a high-density polyethylene having a melting point 5°C or more lower than the polypropylene, constituting a core-sheath type composite short fiber 10 having a concentric circle structure. The composite short fiber 10 for absorption articles has a composite ratio of the core component 2 and the sheath component 1, in terms of the core component/sheath component vol. ratio, of 52/48 to 73/27 and a fineness of 1.1-2.0 dtex and contains 0.5-10 mass% of an inorganic filler to 100 mass% of the composite short fiber.
