PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide precursor and a polyimide which make it possible to obtain a liquid crystal alignment agent having excellent print quality, and also make it possible to obtain a liquid crystal alignment film with a small amount of accumulated charge and quick relaxation of accumulated charge, and a liquid crystal alignment agent, a liquid crystal alignment film and a liquid crystal display element prepared therefrom.;SOLUTION: A diamine represented by formula [1] is disclosed.
