PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new mullion structure that is not damaged when replacing a wall paper and allows a mullion to be removed and fitted readily when repairing or replacing the mullion or a sliding door.SOLUTION: A mullion is installed by a door pocket of a sliding door, and includes an undecorated base mullion 25 fixed at an edge of an opening of the door pocket, and a decorated mullion 26. Connecting grooves 256, 262 are formed on a front surface 253a of the base mullion and a rear surface 263f of the decorated mullion, respectively, and the decorated mullion is connected detachably to the base mullion by fitting into the connecting grooves fitted parts 272, 273 on both edges of a connecting member 27, while keeping the connecting grooves aligned. In the connected state, a protrusion 252 protruding forward from the base mullion is housed in a notch 261 on the rear surface of the decorated mullion, and a space is secured between the front surface 253c of the protrusion and the rear surface 263d of the notch, without the surfaces coming into contact with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
