PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a paste in which fine particles comprising any material of metal, alloy or metal oxide are densely dispersed in a liquid-phase organic compound without dispersing the fine particles in an organic vehicle.SOLUTION: The paste in which fine particles comprising any material of metal, alloy or metal oxide is densely dispersed in an organic compound is produced by: dispersing a metallic compound which precipitates a metal or a metal oxide by thermal decomposition or plural kinds of metallic compounds which precipitate plural kinds of metal concurrently by thermal decomposition in an alcohol; mixing an organic compound having properties that it dissolves in or mixes with an alcohol, its melting point is lower than zero degrees, and its boiling point is higher than the thermal decomposition temperature of the metallic compound in the alcoholic dispersion with a less mole number than the mole number of the metallic compound; and thermally decomposing the metallic compound(s) by subjecting the mixture to a thermal treatment to densely precipitate fine particles comprising any of metal(s), alloy(s), or a metal oxide in an organic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
