KOREAN INPUT METHOD TO INPUT CONSONANT, VOWEL, PATCHIM BY ITERATION OF THREE-STROKE-OPERATION USING THE SAME KEY ARRANGEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with conventional character inputting in Korean in that character elements are combined in inputting characters to reduce the number of keys to be used, which however increases the number of key operations in return for the reduced number of keys.;SOLUTION: The components of characters are categorized into consonants, vowels, and patchims, and all the characters can be input by three presses using 27 keys and a space key in such a manner that: a consonant is selected by the first press of a key; a vowel is selected by the second press; and when a character is a composite character made of the consonant and the vowel, the character is automatically determined by pressing the space key as the third press, or when the character is a composite character made of the consonant, the vowel, and a patchim, the character is automatically determined by pressing the patchim as the third press. Therefore, it is possible to input all the characters by three times of key pressing using the 27 keys and the space key, which is the addition of one key to 26 alphabet keys.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
