PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle surface contamination monitor that quickly detects contamination of a vehicle surface with an inexpensive and simple configuration for a number of vehicles without sacrificing detection accuracy.;SOLUTION: A vehicle surface contamination monitor 1 for monitoring contamination of a vehicle by a radioactive material includes: a moving section body 11 having an upper section, a right side section, and a left side section; and a detector (an upper surface detector 12, a right side surface detector 13, and a left side surface detector 14) for detecting contamination of a vehicle by a radioactive material. The moving section body 11 is configured such that a vehicle 2 can enter therein. The detector is disposed inside of the moving section body 11.
