PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable laying planning device capable of efficiently preparing a cable laying plan even when cables are laid using cable racks, and further to provide a cable laying planning program.SOLUTION: A cable laying planning device comprises a control section performing steps of: reading out attributes of cables laid from a cable basic information storage section; reading out cable laying information containing information related to racks of laying destinations from a cable laying information storage section; reading out cable laying power per one operator from a possessed materials information storage section; reading out standard voltages of the cables and a mass approximation formula for approximately calculating mass of the cables for each kind of the cables from a mass approximation formula storage section; reading out information related to laying routes of the cables from a route information storage section; calculating unit mass of the cables on the basis of the attributes of cables laid and the mass approximation formula; calculating cable laying tension on the basis of the attributes and the unit mass of the cables laid; and calculating a number of operators for each of straight line portions immediately after bending points of the cables on the basis of the cable laying tension, the cable laying power per one operator and the information related to the laying routes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
