PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable focal length lens that excellently corrects all of a one-sided blur at each focal distance position all the way from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end and attains excellent optical performance, and to provide an imaging device having the variable focal length lens and an adjustment method of the variable focal length lens.;SOLUTION: Position detection means 6 for detecting a position of a member moving in accordance with a change in a focal distance to output information on the position thereof, movement means 8 for moving a second lens group G2 in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis and storage means 7 capable for communicating with the position detection means 6 and the movement means 8 are provided. In accordance with the output of the position detection means 6, the storage means 7 is configured to output information defining a movement amount for moving the second lens group G2 in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis, and the movement means 8 is configured to move the second lens group G2 in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis in accordance with the information defining the movement amount.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
