PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning type socket for a straight tube type LED lamp capable of having a structure in which there is no working mistakes such as an error on a turning direction when the LED lamp is installed.SOLUTION: A turning type socket for a straight tube type LED lamp includes a receiving plate 10 forming an insertion port 13, and a body 11 arranged to be opposite on a back side of the receiving plate 10 and having a pair of built-in elastic conductive members 12, 12. When the lamp is installed by inserting the lamp 2 into the receiving plate 10, the turning type socket has a turning regulation means 14 for permitting forward and reverse turning only in a range from a receiving position in which the pair of power supply terminals 23, 23 are inserted into the insertion port 13 of the receiving plate 10 to a connection holding position by the elastic conductive member 12.
