PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that in order to perform ultrasonic wave inspection using a middle region infrared laser beam of high energy, utilizes a harmonic wave of a carbon dioxide laser.;SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide laser 30 of high energy connected to a harmonic wave generation device 46 is adjusted so as to radiate a laser beam with a single wavelength. The harmonic wave generation device 46 converts a laser beam 44 into a middle infrared area for optimal ultrasonic wave inspection. Further, a harmonic wave 48 of the laser beam 44 is oriented to an inspected object, the surface of the object is thermoelastically excited to generate displacement of an ultrasonic wave on the object, and the displacement of the ultrasonic wave is measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
