PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a server to acquire measurement data without waiting for recovery of a communication path.SOLUTION: An energy management system 1 comprises: a smart meter 10 for acquiring measurement data on energy input/output to/from a user facility; a server 30 capable of communicating with the smart meter 10 through a first communication path; and an energy management device 20 capable of communicating with the smart meter 10 through a second communication path. When an abnormality has occurred in acquiring measurement data through the first communication path, the server 30 transmits an instruction to acquire the measurement data from the smart meter 10 to the energy management device 20 through a public communication network, or requests the measurement data from the smart meter 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
