The reducing / oxidizing reagent has been found to be effective in chemically curing sparse metal nanowire films into a fused metal nanostructured network, apparently through a maturation process. The resulting fused network can achieve the desired low sheet resistance while maintaining good light transmission. The transparent conductive film can be effectively applied as one type of conductive ink, or can be effectively attached by sequentially forming a metal nanowire film and then adding a flux. The fused metal nanowire film can be effectively patterned, and the patterned film can be useful in devices such as touch sensors.
