PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rust detector, a vehicle rust detection system, and a vehicle rust detection method capable of accurately detecting rust formed on a vehicle body or a vehicle part such as a suspension arm or an exhaust pipe mounted in a vehicle without influence of mud or the like even if the vehicle body or vehicle part is dirty with the mud or the like.;SOLUTION: A vehicle rust detector comprises: imaging means 20 imaging a rust detection target area in a vehicle body or a vehicle part provided in a vehicle; storage means storing a picked-up image picked up by the imaging means 20; image processing means performing image processing on the basis of the picked-up image; and rust detection result output means 44, 50 outputting a rust detection result on the basis of image processed data obtained by the image processing performed by the image processing means, the image processing means giving a heavier weight on an R-component in the picked-up image represented in RGB form than weights on a G-component and a B-component.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
