PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stamp surface material holder for performing the made-up of a stamp surface material without raising the cost therefor.;SOLUTION: A stamp surface material holder 1 is formed on its upper face with a pair of protrusions 1c. These protrusions 1c are formed by pressing an upper cardboard 11 before adhered to a lower cardboard 12. When a thermal head is pushed at a made-up time to a stamp surface material 2 held on the stamp surface material holder 1, the protrusions 1c are crushed together to apply an upward force (or a reaction force) to the thermal head.
