PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for ink jet recording capable of expressing lighter hues and excellent in terms of dispersion stability and an aqueous pigment dispersion from which the former can be easily prepared.;SOLUTION: The featured aqueous pigment dispersion for preparing an aqueous ink for ink jet recording uses, within an aqueous pigment dispersion for preparing an aqueous ink for ink jet recording provided by dispersing a polyhalogenated metal-phthalocyanine pigment and a filmable resin within an aqueous medium, a polyhalogenated zinc-phthalocyanine pigment and, as the filmable resin, a polyurethane resin; the featured aqueous ink for ink jet recording is prepared from this aqueous pigment dispersion for ink jet recording and a liquid medium consisting, in a case where the entirety of the liquid medium by the mass standard is defined as 100%, of less than 40% of polyalcohols and at least 60% of water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
