PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed soil for an impermeable layer, which can be simply and inexpensively manufactured, and a blending design method for the mixed soil.;SOLUTION: A mixed soil for forming an impermeable layer 2 of an intermediate storage facility 1 for waste containing a radioactive substance is prepared by mixing bentonite with a parent material composed mainly of fragile rock. The parent material is an excavation surplus soil of fragile rock of a rock classification section of classes C_L to D having no size control, and the bentonite is mixed at a mixing ratio to a dry weight of the mixed soil within 5% to 10%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
