Performance evaluation method of the activated carbon

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring phosphate elution amount which is suitable for activated carbon for water drain process of sewage water and/or human waste.SOLUTION: In a method for measuring phosphate elution amount of activated carbon, after shaking the activated carbon in an electrolytic solution, phosphate ion concentration of only obtained supernatant solution is measured. The electrolytic solution is a solution containing a sulfate ion or a chloride ion. The concentration of the electrolytic solution is 0.1 mol/l or more, and the activated carbon is for water drain process of sewage water or human waste.
