PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application of a banana flower extract in the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia.SOLUTION: A banana flower extract can inhibit the production of dihydrotestosterone in prostate cells as well as can inhibit proliferation of the prostate cells. The banana flower extract can also be used for the improvement of dysuria by prostatic hyperplasia. Further, the banana flower extract can be used for providing pharmaceutical compositions or food compositions which improve the symptoms caused by prostatic hyperplasia.SELECTED DRAWING: None
