One of the compounds in one embodiment is provided and includes a modified pre lignin, a thermoplastic material, and a compatibilizing agent. Said modified pre lignin can be from about 5 weight percent of said composition at about 50% by weight. In addition, the modification already lignin may be hydroxypropyl lignin (HPL). In one example, the thermoplastic material may comprise a high density polyethylene (HDPE). In another example, the thermoplastic material may comprise a low density polyethylene (LDPE). In yet another example, the thermoplastic material may comprise a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). The compatibilizer can be a grafted polyethylene blend of maleic anhydride (MAh-g-PE).
