PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door braking device for closing a sliding door while pulling and decelerating the sliding door by tensile force of a spring, when the sliding door reaches a brake start position before the full opening of the sliding door, the sliding door braking device reducing resistance against an opening operation of the sliding door to improve operability.;SOLUTION: A strike B includes a catch 50 fixed at a braking starting position, a slider 55 sliding between the braking starting position and a run-up regulation position, and a stopper 60 for regulating a sliding range where the slider slides to the run-up regulation position from the braking starting position. When opening a sliding door D, while the sliding door slides on a sliding door rail L due to an opening operation of the sliding door from the braking starting position to the run-up regulation position where the sliding door stops by abutting on the stopper, a movable cam is in a lock release state where a guide pin is removed from a fixing part of a guide groove and tensile force of an energizing spring does not act on the sliding door. Accordingly, since the tensile force of the energizing spring does not become resistance against the opening operation of the sliding door between the braking starting position and the run-up regulation position where the slider slides, the sliding door is opened with vigor by run-up.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
