PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stable organopolysiloxane emulsion having a small particle size.;SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a stable, high-viscosity organopolysiloxane emulsion having a particle size of ≤150 nm, in particular an emulsion polymerization process relating to an easy and cost-effective fast completion of emulsification of organopolysiloxane by using a standard homogenizer and the subsequent polymerization of the organopolysiloxane at a controlled temperature. The method involves a selective combination of a nonionic emulsifier with at least one anionic emulsifier. Importantly, the selective mixture of the nonionic emulsifier and the anionic emulsifier having an HLB value of the mixture near to 12-15 and maintaining a temperature of ≤50°C enables the advantageous production of the stable emulsion having the small particle size with any standard homogenizer without the need for high-pressure homogenizing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
