Sustained atrial fibrillation model, method for inducing sustained atrial fibrillation and manufacturing method thereof

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustainable atrial fibrillation model that can induce sustainable arterial fibrillation in a small animal and is favorably used for screening of an arterial fibrillation inhibitor and a research for the sustainable atrial fibrillation, and to provide a method for inducing the sustainable atrial fibrillation and method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided the sustainable atrial fibrillation model in which an arteriovenous fistula is created in a rat which is bred for more than 4 weeks and the atrial is hypertrophied, dilated and remodelled. The arteriovenous fistula whose aorta is communicated with inferior vena cava is preferable. In addition, an embodiment wherein the rat is bred for more than 7 weeks and the atrial is hypertrophied, dilated and remodelled is preferable.
