PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter setting device that reduces the burden on a user who tries to have parameters set, and to provide a parameter setting method.;SOLUTION: A parameter setting device causes a display unit to display a parameter setting screen showing at least operators 53-57 for setting values of parameters, invalidates manipulation made with the operators 53-57 if the manipulation made with the operators 53-57 is for setting a parameter to an input value outside a setting range for the parameter, and causes the display unit to display the operators 53-57 in a manner that shows that the manipulation for setting the parameter to an input value outside the setting range of the parameter is invalid.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
