PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burnup measurement technique capable of acquiring burnup having high reliability in terms of fuel debris generated due to meltdown.SOLUTION: A burnup measurement apparatus 10 of fuel debris comprises: a handling section 12 holding a debris storage section 11 stored with fuel debris and inserting the debris storage section 11 into a main body frame 21; an upper portion guide mechanism 13 positioning the debris storage section 11 inserted; a first neutron detector 17 detecting emitted neutrons emitted from the fuel debris; a second neutron detector 19 detecting active neutrons emitted from the fuel debris induced with a nuclear reaction by the neutrons emitted from a neutron source 18; a gamma ray spectrum detector 20 measuring a gamma ray emitted from the fuel debris and detecting a gamma ray spectrum; and a data processing section 23 selecting one of burnup of the fuel debris calculated on the basis of individual ones of the emitted neutrons, the active neutrons and the gamma ray spectrum.
