PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal orientation film which has high liquid crystal orientation and stably provides a large pretilt angle near 45°, a method of manufacturing the orientation film, and a liquid crystal element comprising the orientation film.;SOLUTION: A coated film obtained by applying amine processing to a polyamic acid having optical orientation capability is exposed to light, and then cured at or above the imidization temperature of the polyamic acid thereby to obtain a polyimide optical orientation film, which provides a pretilt angle of 3-70° to liquid crystal and an orientation index (Δ) represented by a formula in Figure of 0.27 or greater.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
