PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATP production promoter capable of activating an ATP synthetic enzyme by directly acting on the enzyme and to provide an agent containing the ATP production promoter and preventing and/or treating ischemic disease.SOLUTION: There is provided an ATP production promoter containing (1) a G0s2 protein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or (2) a DNA encoding the protein described above (1) as an active ingredient.
