PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a stable heat treatment when heat treating desulfurization slag in a rotary heating-type reactor to remove sulfur without generating dam rings due to calcium ferrite.;SOLUTION: The method for regenerating desulfurization slag comprises: charging desulfurization slag into a rotary heating-type reactor, the slag being generated in a desulfurization treatment of molten pig iron and containing CaO as a main component; heat-treating the desulfurization slag charged into the reactor by controlling a temperature of the furnace atmosphere in a range of 1000 to 1400°C and an oxygen partial pressure (P_O2(atm)) of the furnace atmosphere in a range of -8≤logP_O2≤-4; and removing a sulfur component in the desulfurization slag as SOx into the gas phase side by the heat treatment. A particle size of the desulfurization slag is regulated to 5 mm or less before it is charged into the reactor, and the desulfurization slag is subjected beforehand to a mixed-metallic iron removing treatment before it is charged into the reactor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
